Good News |

|
The Good News (the Gospel) is that God sent His Son Jesus the Christ in the form of a man, but without sin. Jesus was hung on a cross (crucified) and died for our sins, was buried, then rose to life after three days. These things happened just as the Scripture foretold. I Corinthian 15:1-7
Jesus is now sitting at the right hand of God. By faith in Jesus we are justified (made innocent) and now we have peace with God. Thank God that now in Christ Jesus, we who were once far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. Mark16:19, Romans 5:1-2
It was written in the Holy Scripture that the Messiah (the Anointed One) was to suffer, die and rise from the dead on the third day and that repentance (turning away, or rejecting sin) and remission of sin is to be proclaimed in His name. Luke 24:46-47, Isaiah 53:1-12
Because God loves this world so much He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes (trusts) in Him would not be forever lost, but would have eternal (never-ending) life. This Good News was first proclaimed in Jerusalem 2000 years ago and this Grace (unearned favor) is available for the whole world. We come into this grace by faith; for without faith it's impossible to please God.John 3:16, Hebrews 11:6
In the past, people walked in their own ways, and He ignored this. But now, God commands all people in the world to change their hearts and lives. God has set a day that He will judge the entire world with righteousness, by the man He chose. And God has proven this to everyone by raising that man from the dead. Acts 17:30-31
If we repent and submit our lives to the Authority of Jesus the Son of God, we will be saved. Because this is the Word of faith that we preach: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, You will be saved. Because with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. And if we confess our sins, yes our sins, because everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Yet if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Romans 10:9-10, I John 1:8-10
Now in Jesus name we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit who pours out the love of God in our hearts. It's the Holy Spirit that bears witness with our spirit that we are God's childern and as God's children we are led by the Spirit. God's desire is that we stay full of the Holy Spirit and all we need to do is ask.John14:26, Romans8:16, Romans8:14, Luke11:13
Jesus loves you and He is waiting for you to call on His name. If we believe in Jesus, all things are possible. Because whoever calls on His name will be saved. We will be saved from hell, which is a place of darkness and torment. I believe that the worst part of hell is the separation from the presence of the Lord forever because He is our life and the light of all men. Luke 16:19-31, II Thessalonians 1:7-9, Acts 17:27-28
Jesus has come that we might have life and have it more abundantly. In Him we have peace. In the world we have trouble, but be of good cheer; He has overcome the world. John 16:33 |
